How to request deletion
In the app (the fastest way)
- Open StackTail and sign in.
- Open the menu and choose Profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Without the app
- Send an email to contact@chaincoreindustries.com with the subject "Delete my StackTail account".
- Send it from the email address of your account and include your username.
- We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We then delete it as soon as that is confirmed, and at the latest within 30 days.
What happens next
- You are signed out on all your devices straight away.
- Within 48 hours your account and everything stored with it is deleted permanently. This happens automatically.
- We send one email to confirm that the deletion was requested.
- Deletion cannot be undone. We cannot bring an account or its backups back afterwards.
What is deleted
- Your account: username, email address and password.
- Your plan, your credits and the purchase records we hold.
- Your sign-in sessions and the browsers you linked.
- All your encrypted cloud backups, including photos and every earlier version.
- On the phone where you delete the account, the organizer stored in the app.
Copies of your organizer on your other devices stay on those devices until you remove the app there. We have no access to them.
What is kept, and for how long
- Server logs (IP address, time and the address requested): up to 30 days, to keep the service secure.
- Email delivery records at our email provider: up to 45 days.
- Purchase records at Apple or Google. The App Store and Google Play keep their own records of your purchases under their own policies. We cannot delete those.
We keep nothing else.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it first, or the store keeps charging you:
- Google Play: Play Store, your profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions.
- App Store: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
